Notommata veroleti, collected in a clear and acid water hole in the south-east of France, is described. The main characters are: fusiform body of large size with a broad tail, well-developped retrocerebral organ (RCO), trophus of virgate type, and colored epipharynx. The female feed on large diatoms and desmids. Presence of males and resting eggs.
