Descriptions of six species and two subspecies of Palearctic Sesiidae new to science are presented: Bembecia baumgartneri sp. nov. from northwestern Croatia; Bembecia iberica sp. nov. from Spain, Portugal, northwestern Italy and France; Bembecia pamira sp. nov. from central Pamir (Tajikistan); Bembecia megillaeformis luqueti ssp. nov. from western France; Synansphecia aistleitneri sp. nov. from southern Spain; Synansphecia koschwitzi sp. nov. from central Spain; Chamaesphecia gorbunovi sp. nov. from southern Transcaucasia (Azerbaijan and Armenia); Chamaesphecia obraztsovi obermajeri ssp. nov. from the high central Asian mountains (Tajikistan and Uzbekistan). In addition the male of Bembecia salangica Sp. and Res. is described; only the female had been studied previously.
