A preliminary survey in a spruce subalpine forest has detected Stemonyphantes conspersus, a Linyphiid species up to now known form Eastern and Italian Alps only. Its widespread habitat and typical habitus should allow the discovery of new occurrence sites across the French Alps, though the species is known to be rare within its range.
