  • A third station of Tipula (Emodotipula) gomina Dufour, 2003, a species rarely captured in Europe, was discovered in Queyras Natural Regional Park (Abries-Ristolas, Hautes-Alpes). The capture of one male and two females allows to describe the female, hitherto unknown. This description allowed the subsequent identification of females captured in Switzerland in 1982 and 1990. The species is certainly an endemic species of the western Alps, and is known from only four localities, in France and Switzerland. An identification key (in French and in English) of females of the West European species of the subgenus Emodotipula is proposed.
