  • This is the first time that saproxylic beetles have been studied in the Belledonne mountain range (Isere). Two natural but not legally protected plots of forest were prospected using 12 non-attractive window traps. One is a beech-spruce forest, the other, a chestnut forest. They are mainly protected from forestry by topographical factors. Of the 233 species of saproxylic beetle found, 17 are rare. Three of these, Dermestoides sanguinicollis, Cis fissicornis and Xylechinus pilosus, are presented in this article, the first two being new to the Isere department.
