  • This paper redescribes a classical species, Steganacarus (Tropacarus) carinatus (C.L. Koch, 1841), describes two new closely related North Mediterranean species, S. (T.) pseudocarinatus and S. (T.) balcanicus, and discusses their systematic relationships. Biogeographical and ecological notes are given for all three species.
