  • Chrysobothris guadeloupensis Descarpentries is a taxon described from Guadeloupe in 1981. We list some more recent captures, including a new record from the island of Marie-Galante. In the xeromesophilous forests of Martinique, we have obtained a small number of specimens by emergence of dead branches. A DNA barcode was sequenced for one specimen and was found to be very close genetically to the specimens from Guadeloupe. We conclude that the species is present in Martinique, which is a new record for this island. Coccoloba pubescens L., 1759 (Polygonaceae) is reported as host plant. From the island of Saint-Martin, we report the collection of a specimen related to Chrysobothris sabae Maier&Ivie, 2013, a new record for this island.
