  • A new subgenus, Darylesia subgen. nov., is erected in the genus Hylesia HUBNER, (1820) (Lepidoptera: Satumiidae) and nine new species are described and figured: Hylesia (Hylesia) antkozlovi n. sp. (type locality: Peru (Amazonas)), H. (H.) cesarex n. sp. (Colombia (Cesar)), H. (H) tersucumbex n. sp. (Ecuador (Sucumbios)), H. (H.) terguianex n. sp. (French Guiana (Cayenne)), H. (H) mymsantandex n. sp. (Colombia (Santander)), H. (H.) santamartex n. sp. (Colombia (Magdalena)), H. (H.) tapboyacex n. sp. (Colombia (Boyaca)), H. (H) melayasuniex n. sp. (Ecuador (Orellana)) and H. (Darylesia subgen. nov.) darjardina n. sp. (Colombia (Antioquia)). All holotypes are deposited in coll. Ronald BRECHLIN, Pasewalk (CRBP), via Stiftung (Foundation) Thomas Wrrr, Munich (Germany), in Zoologische Staatssammlung Munchen (ZSM), Munich, Germany. In addition, the male of H. (H.) falcatalayex BRECHLIN&MEISTER, 2016 and the female of H. (H.) baguana BREMEN&MEISTER, 2016 are described and figured for the first time.
