  • Two new species, belonging to the genus Hydrosmilodon Flowers & Dominguez, were discovered during a water quality survey at 66 sites in French Guiana. A table summarizing the main differential characters between the four known species is given (main concerned structures are : labrum, clypeus, mandibles, bristles of femora and tarsal claws). The definition of the genus Hydrosmilodon needs some enlargement.
