| - Nausithoe sorbei, a new bathyal species of solitary scyphozoan coronate polyp, is described from Capbreton Canyon (south-east of the Bay of Biscay) and off Azores Islands. Although only preserved material is available, it shows a striking character unknown in other species: the periderm tube has instead of inner whorls of 8-16 cusps 1-4 large single horseshoe-like cusps. This is the second known solitary species with single cusps.
