  • This note is divided into 4 parts. 1) Description of GALLOJAPYX iocosus n. gen., n. sp., from Herault (France), characterized by the male genital papilla provided with unique structures around the gonopore and easily distinguished from all known Japyx or Metajapyx by its subcoxal organs and cerci. 2) Description of Metajapyx viti n. sp., from Liguria (Italy), the male of which may show a surnumerary minute superior tubercule on the right arm of the forceps. 3) Abbriged description of Metajapyx besucheti venetus n. ssp. from Venetia (Italy), characterized by its abdominal tergal chaetotaxy and left arm of forceps. 4) List of 19 species of Japygids s. 1. belonging to 9 genera and represented by 169 specimens collected in 60 stations.
