| - Three new Guyano Amazonian Spasalus are described and illustrated : S. bechynei n. sp., from Venezuela, Bolivar, Roraima (altitude: 1100-1350 m), which forms a peculiar species group in the genus by the presence of secondary mediofrontal tubercles and sometimes anterior frontal ridges, both characters being developed although relictual; S. urithuensis n. sp., from Brazil, Amazonas, rio Urubu (altitude < 150 m), of the species group of S. robustus (Percheron, 1835); S. seag n. sp., from French Guiana, Montagne des Chevaux (altitude < 140 m) is the very probable sister-species of S. kaupi Boucher, 2004, Perou, San Martin; both species form another peculiar group in the genus, notably by the smallness, the thin distal part of protibias and the full reddish color of mature body.
