  • In November 1991 and in August 1993, our colleague Claude Bou collected several material samples in the underground stream Cabeou and underground stream Amiel in Penne in the department of Tarn, France. These collections were constituted as part of his carcinological research but also in his field of hydrogeology because he is responsible for the drinking water supply of Penne. Among his collection of stygobitic crustaceans, Claude Bou had discovered gastropod molluscs belonging to the genera Moitessieria, Islamia and Bythinella. We report in this study the presence of a new species for the genus Moitessieria BOURGUIGNAT 1863 in France.
