dct:abstract	Paratroglophyes orestes n. sp. is described from Ariege (northern slope of central Pyrenees, France). The genus is composed by two additional species: P. carrerei Foures, 1954, and P. jeanneli Coiffait, 1955. The taxonomic position of the new species in the genus is discussed and the differential characters are illustrated. A map of geographical distributions of the three species of the genus is provided and hypotheses concerning the origin of these distributions are proposed.
