  • Aulacocyclus boudinoti n. sp., an endemic species of New Caledonia is described from the Southern areas of the Riviere Bleue and the Baie de Prony. The morphological characteristics of A. boudinoti are compared with its more closely allied species, A. pugnax Fauvel, 1903, which is also known only from the South of the Great Island. Both species form a phenetic group well distinct from the other Aulacocyclus present in the Archipelago, this genus being the only one of the family which is known there.
