| - On the basis of the phylogenetic analysis of external and internal morphological characters of 29 Acratini (with special attention given to sclerites of the internal sac of aedeagus), three new genera are described in this neotropical tribe: Rugosacratus n. gen. (type species Acratus chontalensis Sharp, 1895), Teramoceroides n. gen. (type species Belorhynchus gracilis Boheman, 1833), and Parateramocerus n. gen. (type species Proteramocerus goianus Soares & Dias, 1971). The creation of those new generic divisions leads to the following new combinations: Rugosacratus punctirostris (Boheman, 1840), n. comb., R. chontalensis (Sharp, 1895), n. comb., Teramoceroides gracilis (Boheman, 1833), n. comb., T. belti (Sharp, 1895), n. comb., T. mamillatus (Meyer, 1959), n. comb., and Parateramocerus goianus (Soares & Dias, 1971), n. comb., Three new species are described: Rugosacratus eximius n. sp. from French Guiana, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, Teramocerus asklerosis n. sp. from French Guiana and Brazil, and T. rileyi n. sp. from Panama. The distribution of the species is updated and discussed. Teramoceroides belti is newly recorded from Colombia and Panama; T. mamillatus is newly recorded from French Guiana; Rugosacratus punctirostris is new for Colombia, French Guiana and Venezuela; Teramocerus pulcher (Soares & Dias, 1971) is newly recorded from French Guiana.
