  • A new phyline plant bug genus Pericartia gen. nov. is described to accommodate P. aukemai sp. nov. from south of France (Provence). Dorsal habitus and male and female genitalia are provided. The new genus shows several morphological characters similar to those known in several Palaearctic genera (Tinicephalus, Megalocoleus, Amblytylus, Hoplomachus, Macrotylus). It can be recognized by the form of the claws and the features of the vesica.
