| - The fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis is reported here for the first time in Alsace. It is distributed throughout the whole region and has been observed on six amphibian species: the alpine newt, the smooth newt, the midwife toad, the yellow-bellied toad, the common tree frog, the moor frog and the marsh frog. Currently, there is no report of mortality due to chytridiomycosis in Alsace. Further studies will enable to identify the B. dendrobatidis lineage that occurs in the region.
