We present a dichotomous key to identify adults of all presently described Odonataof New Caledonia including the Loyalty Islands (Melanesia) and Wallis and Futuna(Western Polynesia). The key covers a total of 58 species of which approximately 50 % are regionally endemic, while others are more widespread species inhabiting neighboring archipelagos such as Vanuatu and Fiji, and even more distant regions.
