  • Several records of Hydropsyche silfvenii in Ardenne and Eiffel Massifs (Belgium, Luxembourg), encouraged us to search for this species in the Ardennes department (N-E France). In the course of this research several larvae of H. silfvenii, a species new for French fauna, were collected in a forest stream, close to the spring. Some ecological data and characters for identification are provided.
