| - This study consists of five parts: the principal one is strictly zoogeographic and the four addenda deal with description of new taxa, faunal additions and taxonomic discussions. The zoogeographical part includes a taxonomic list containing more than 470 bryozoa species from the South American, antarctic and oceanic Chilean territories. This figure reaches up to ca. 500 with the addition of new species and new records reported in the addenda. In order to reveal the zoogeographic pattern of this bryozoan fauna, there were used ca. 250 species (by exclusion of the antarctic and some others from the oceanic islands) to compare zoogeographically 4 degree Lat. segments of the Chilean continental shelf from Africa (18 degree S) to Cape Horn (56 degree S), plus subantarctic areas, the Antarctic peninsula; Juan Fernandez archipelago, and Easter Island, considered the latter as one segment each. In the final discussion a global analysis was carried out using the 470 bryozoa species. The Kutczinsky-2 and Czekanowsky similitude indexes were used to make the zoogeographical comparisons and the results converted into matrix and dendrograms. On the base of these results the following zoogeographical provinces are proposed: Antarctic, Antarctic peninsula and Eastern Antarctica; Magellanic, southernmost part of South America from 40 degree S - 42 degree S to the Cape Horn area and the Falkland islands; Chilean, Chilean coast 40 degree S - 42 degree S to the north, probably including the Peruvian coast; Juan Fernandez, Juan Fernandez and Las Desventuradas archipelagos; Easter Island, Easter Island and probably Sala y Gomez island; South Eastern Pacific Bathyal, continent slope in front of central Chile from 42 degree S to the north. The following new taxa are described in the first three addenda: KLUGERELLA n. gen., FLAGURIA, n. gen., Aplousina grandipora n. sp., Callopora nazcae n. sp., %22Cellepora%22 aliena n. sp., Ellisina profunda n. sp., Hippothyris austrinus n.
