  • We have studied the stygobiont freshwater fauna of molluscs of the borders of the river Herault in southern France since many years. Continuous investigations at the village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert have led us to the observation and collecting of shells of representatives of the Moitessieriidae Bourguignat, 1863. In this publication we will describe a new species of the genus Moitessieria Bourguignat, 1863.
