dct:abstract
| - Two new Acerentulus species, A. pyreneicus n. sp. and A. noeli n. sp., are described from France. Acerentulus pyreneicus n. sp. belongs to the confinis group. It is characterized by long foretarsal sensillum a, sensillum b shorter than c, sword-shaped sensillum a', distal position of foretarsal seta [delta]4, possession of eight anterior setae on abdominal tergite VII, presence of seta P1a on abdominal tergites II-VII and seta P3a on abdominal tergite VII, and compound sternal posterosubmedial (spsm) pores on sternite VI. This new species is close to A. berruezanus. Acerentulus noeli n. sp. belongs to the cunhai group. It is characterized by short foretarsal sensillum a, sensillum b half the length of c, proximal position of seta [delta]4, possession of six anterior setae on abdominal tergite VII, presence of seta P1a on abdominal tergites I-VII and seta P3a on abdominal tergites VI-VII, and composition of spsm pores on sternite VI. This new species is close to A. tolosanus. The mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences (barcodes) of the two new species are provided.
