  • A second species of the genus Autaretia Strasser, 1978 (Diplopoda: Chordeumatida: Craspedosomatidae) has been discovered in a cave in the French Maritime Alps. The new species is described and an updated diagnosis of the genus is given. This interesting discovery improves our knowledge on the invertebrate fauna of the Maritime Alps, in particular of the Mercantour National Park, and is included as a new element in the checklist and atlas of the Diplopoda in France, in progress.
