| - Rhodococcus perornatus (Cockerell & Parrott) is a rare scale-insect species reported from eight West Palearctic countries, living on Rosa species which are listed. It was found for the first time in France, at 1,400 m in altitude, in a locality of Alps. An illustration of the female, external morphological characters of the female on Rosa glauca Pourret, a new host of the scale-insect, and the description of environment of the place where it was discovered in the French Alps are given.
