  • Two species are recorded from the french department of the Pyrenees-Orientales, new for the French fauna of Microlepidoptera: Oxypteron politum (Walsingham, 1907) (Tortricidae) and Elachista nolckeni Sulcs, 1992 (Elachistidae). The authors discuss on the validity of the populations previously labelled %22Oxypteron schawerdai (Rebel, 1936)%22, from France and Spain, and show that the genitalia figured by Chambon (1999, sp. n[degree] 1998) under this name are those of O. impar Staudinger, 1871, eastern european and asiatic species, not present in France. A new call is made in order that the field entomological researches could become easer in the protected areas, simply because an efficient protection goes through a better knowledge of the fauna.
