  • In the third part of the revision 49 species of Gelis, belonging to the G. acarorum-, G. melanocephalus-, G. lucidulus-, G. bicolor- and G. festinans-groups are dealt with. Additions to the first and second parts of this series are given. 13 species are described as new: G. hispanicus nova spec., G. solus nova spec., G. fossae nova spec., G. tibiator nova spec., G. turbator nova spec., G. terribilis nova spec., G. brunneellus nova spec., G. recens nova spec., G. merops nova spec., G. albopilosus nova spec., G. shawidaani nova spec., G. aponius nova spec. and G. operosus nova spec. A new key to the apterous females of the West Palaearctic region is proposed. Ichneumon ruficornis RETZIUS 1783 is regarded as a junior synonym of Ichneumon agilis FABRICIUS 1775, and Ichneumon fuscicornis RETZIUS 1783 is a new senior synonym of Cryptus (Pezomachus) longulus ZETTERSTEDT 1838.
