The pseudoscorpion genus Synsphyronus is widely distributed in the Australasian region, with 30 species described from Australia and two from New Zealand. This paper describes the first species to be recorded from New Caledonia: S. platnicki sp. nov. Two of the three nymphal stages. tritonvmph and protonymph, are described, as well as the adults.
