| - The delicate blenny Glyptoparus delicatulus Smith, 1959 is recorded for the first time from Reunion Island. After the observation of an isolated female in 2013 on the Saint Gilles-La Saline reef, 48 individuals were observed in four different sites of this reef in 2019, which enabled the observation of both sexes. Examination of high resolution photographs shows that external morphological characteristics of these individuals agree well with those reported in the scientific descriptions of the species. The local current pattern makes it likely that Reunion's G. delicatulus population originates from Mauritius Island located 170 km east-northeast of La Reunion. Since all of the observed individuals were found on living colonies of Porites lutea Milne Edwards&Haime, 1851, a local association between the two species can be assumed. Our observations reinforce the dispersal connection hypothesis from Mauritius to Reunion, and provides information on the ecology of this poorly known species.
