327 fleas were collected in the fur of small mammals from Py and Mantet (Pyrenees- Orientales). Fiftheen species were identified with Leptopsylla taschenbergi amitina as the most common (42% of catches) and Ctenophthalmus spp. were slightly less common (25%) (C. baeticus arvernus and C. nobilis dobyi). These fleas were found in all stations from the bridge of the Rotja valley (900 m) to the pass of Mantet (1780 m). Three rare species were identified: Amphipsylla sibirica sepifera (2 ex.) on the pass of Mantet (1780 m), first time on the north side of the Pyrenees, Callopsylla saxatilis at Collada Verde (2320m) and Amalareus penicilliger pyrenaicus at the pass of Mantet, the screes of Mantet (1615 m) and Collada Verde.
