The new record of Quibius subsimilis (HouvATH 1911) and Quilnus marcosi HEISS & BAENA 2006 from Entrevaux (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) in French western alps on Pinus- nigra enlarges the so far known submediterranean distribution area into the alpine mountain range. As the natural area of distribution of Pinus nigra is a disjunct one reaching from the Iberian Peninsula south of the Alps to its relic area in Eastern Austria, additional records of Quihius spp. might there be possible. The first time recorded macropterous female of Qu. marcosi is described and illustrated.
