  • Six new species in the genus Cerodirphia MICHENER, 1949 (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) are described and figured: C. pruvoti BRECHLIN, MEISTER & VAN SCHAYCK n. sp. (type locality: French Guiana (Cayenne)), C. paraspeciosa BRECHLIN n. sp. (French Guiana (Cayenne)), C. altoparanensis BRECHLIN & DRECHSEL n. sp. (Paraguay (Alto Parana)), C. panguana BRECHLIN n. sp. (Peru (Huanuco)), C. amamartinensis BRECHLIN n. sp. (Peru (San Martin)) and C. gachala BRECHLIN n. sp. (Colombia (Cundinamarca)). All holotypes are deposited in coll. Ronald BRECHLIN, Pasewalk (CRBP), in coll. Museum WITT, Munich (Germany), which later, together with this collection, will be included in Zoologische Staatssammlung Miinchen, Munich, Germany. The preimaginal instars of all new taxa are unknown.
