| - A new species of the genus Dorcatoma Herbst (Coleoptera, Anobiidae) is described based on material from Germany, Austria and France. Dorcatoma androgyna n. sp. differs from related taxa in sexual and external characters, the most obvious being the inconspicuous sexual dimorphism of the new species. D. androgyna n. sp. is compared to similar species of the genus. Antennae and male and female genitalia are figured. The species biology is described. Host fungi of Dorcatoma androgyna n. sp. are Fomes fomentarius and Ganoderma spec. For its development, the new species apparently prefers fruiting bodies preliminary used by other fungivorous Coleoptera or Microlepidoptera.
