  • Five thousand and one hundred seventeen species and genera representing 8 orders of phytophagous insects were collected in the imago and larval stage on rhubarb plantation in Skierniewice during 2002-2003. To the super- and eudominants belonged the following species: Aphis fabae and Myzus persicae (Homoptera), Lygus rugulipennis (Heteroptera), and Chaetocnema concinna (Coleoptera) - more than 30% of all collected insects. Many insects are known as polyphagous species occurring in lower numbers. These were: Plusia gamma, Mamestra brassicae, Trachea apicalis, Aronicta rumicis (Lepidoptera), Phyllotreta spp., Gastroidea polygoni, G. viridula, Phylloperta horticola, Chlorophanus viridis, Phytonomus rumicis (Coleoptera), Forficula auricularis (Dermaptera), and Mesocerus marginatus (Heteroptera).
