The tortricid moth, Pelatea klugiana is recorded for the first time from Languedoc. Examination of five sites with peonies led to its discovery in two of these 13 km apart. Ichneumon parasites were also found. These parasites are different from those found in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. Photos of male and female genitalia are included, together with morphological data on coupling which leads to a more general hypothesis on tortrix mating behaviour.
