| - Alphitophagus obtusangulus J. Muller, 1904 (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) is for the first time recorded in the Occitanie region (Mediterranean France), in a xeric pine forest of the Aude district. This new occurrence makes the connection between Iberian and south-eastern French populations. Long known of the single type locality of the island of Meleda (now Mljet), close to Dubrovnik (Croatia), it is actually reported from 15 localities of four Mediterranean countries: Croatia (1), Spain (7), France (6) and Greece (1). The new observation is the opportunity to make the synthesis of known data and to precise the autecology of this species. Photo of aedeagus and distribution map are for the first time presented for the species.
