| - C. pulchrum Lanchester, is an apparently uncommon and relatively little known Indo-West Pacific species. Some characteristic specimens (both males and females) have been collected in Takapoto (Tuamotu Islands; in 1975), in Moorea (Society Islands; in 1976) and in Fiji (in 1976). The known range of the species is now extended to include French Polynesia. In this region, C. pulchrum seems to be specifically parasitizing fish of the genera Arothron (A. alboreticulatus and A. meleagris) and Diodon (D. hystrix). The present specimens are described and the main features of the species emphasized.
