  • The circumstances of the rediscovery in France of clytus robertae Mineau&Teocchi, nomen nudum are reported. Renamed Clytus relictus nov. sp., this longhorned beetle is describe from the department of Drome. Some informations on its behaviour and its biology are given. Maps of the French distribution of this insect and its host plant, the Alpine buckthorn, are presented. The threats of this taxon are discussed as well as proposals fo further observations. Finally, an identification key for French species of the genus Clytus is established.
