  • The application of the new rules established by the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature since 1961 leads to the name saouensis Mandl, 1967, being considered as unavailable in the genus Carabus. It is therefore replaced by the name of a new subspecies: Carabus (Morphocarabus) monilis tarrierianus n. subsp. described from the forest of Saou, Drome, France. Is also proposed Carabus (Cyclocarabus) znojkoellus nomen novum to replace Carabus pullus Semenov et Znojko, 1932, primary junior homonym of Carabus pullus Gmelin, 1790, and Carabus pullus Olivier, 1790.
