The study of elaterid beetles collected in the Reserve Tresor (French Guiana) by means of interception traps as part of an inventory survey carried out by the Societe entomologique Antilles Guyane (S.E.A.G.) resulted in the discovery of a new genus belonging to Dicrepiidinae subfamily, whose description is provided in this paper as well as that of a new species related thereto. This new genus is characterized in that its antennae are twelwe-segmented and that the male antennomeres from the third up to the eleventh are biramous, whereas all segments are simple in the female.
