  • Two shallow water populations of Vexillum (Costellaria) mccauslandi n. sp. are described from Flores and Bali Islands, Indonesia and compared with V. (C.) brunneolinea Rosenberg & Salisbury, 1991. A wider-ranging Indo-Pacific Vexillum heretofore confused with the Hawaiian endemic V (C.) xenium Pilsbry, 1921 and other species, is described as V (C.) rodgersi n. sp. and compared with V (C.) acupictum (Reeve, 1844). Scabricola parkinsoni n. sp. is described from a localized area of New Britain, Papua New Guinea and compared to Scabricola desetangsii (Kiener, 1838), Mitra (Nebularia) sowerbyi kingae Cernohorsky, 1972 and Mitra backae (Cernohorsky, 1972).
