| - Dolomedes plantarius (Clerck, 1758) is a species discovered for the last time in Nord - Pas-de-Calais 74 years ago. It was rediscovered in 2014 in North in a bog (photographs of genitalia and habitus are presented). The habitat where the species has been observed is discussed, and some differentiating elements of the closely Dolomedes fimbriatus (Clerck, 1758). An update of its distribution in France is proposed (based on the exploitation of 75 data) and leads to an updated figure of 46 stations in 22 departments, including 31 new sites. However, 11 other stations correspond to old data prior to 1950 for which we do not have evidence to confirm that the species is still present. The declination of the national strategy of protected areas and the definition of protective measures at the regional level for this species with strict ecological requirements and for its habitat appear necessary. Finally, its distribution at european level is quickly discussed through the research of recent observation data.
