  • Several specimens of the phorid M. rivierae, harassing major workers of the ant C. cruentatus, were collected at Lauris (Vaucluse, France) in summer 1991. This is the third observation of a phorid/Camponotus interaction in Europe and allows the attribution of a host to the phorid parasite or parasitoid M. rivierae.
