| - The anatomy of a new species of heteronemertean from the Mediterranean, Oxypolella banyulensis sp. nov., is described and illustrated. The species is characterized by having a dermis comprising subepidermal longitudinal muscle fibres arranged in characteristic piles, a three-layered proboscis with four main regions, one ciliated pit in the frontal organ, two dorsal nerves and a thin inner circular muscle layer. Further notes on Oxypolella bergendali are given.
