The present review of the endemic Pyrenean genus Pyreneosoma Mauries, 1959 contains, after brief historical notes: a) a list of the published and unpublished localities for the four already known species: P. ribauti and P. digitatum Mauries, 1959 (lectotypes designation), P. barbieri (Mauries, 1971) and P. bessoni Mauries, 1974; b) the descriptions of 7 new taxa: two are gathered from caves of the Spanish provinces Huesca (P. bessoni huescanus) and Lerida (P. grandicoxae); five live in nival zones, one in Spain, in the Valle de Aran (P. aranensis ). and the four others in the french departments of Haute-Garonne (P. convenarum) and Ariege (P birosensis, P. consoranensis and P. vicdessosensis).
