A new Charinus Simon 1892 is herein described on the basis of four specimens collected in La Desirade, a island close of Guadeloupe (Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles). This represents the second species of the family Charinidae Quintero 1986 described from these islands, as well as its first record from the French Overseas Territory of Guadeloupe.
