R. cryptocallus sp. nov. of the R. urophthalmus-complex is described from Martinique Island. This species is highly variable and is found on the island in several groups which are slightly distinguished from each other by their color pattern. Its relationships with R. urophthalmus and R. hartii are discussed and indications are given to its ecology and the collecting sites.
