dct:abstract
Nannorrhacus parvus sp. n. from Martinique, only the 2nd congener, is just the 4th species of the family Platyrhacidae to be found in the Antilles. It differs from N. luciae (Pocock, 1894), from St. Lucia, Lesser Antilles, by the following characters: a smaller size; presence of 3 or 2 transverse rows of larger setigerous tubercles on collum and postcollum metaterga, respectively; absence of areations on metaterga; far more strongly tuberculate lateral edges of paraterga; ventrolateral location of ozopores; underdeveloped pleurostemal carinae; and shorter and stouter gonopods.
