The discovery of Stygnocoris faustus in the costal dune system of the commune of Barcares (Pyrenees-Orientales) is the first report of the presence of this species in France. It provides details about its ecology as well as the description of the final larval stage (stage V), the female's spermatheca and the vesica of the male's phallus. A temporary key to the larvae of Stygnocoris present in France is also proposed.
