Smithers & Thornton (1990)
dct:abstract
Forty-five species of Psocidae (10 new) are listed for New Guinea and the Melanesian arcs islands. The distribution of the genera and species through the arcs and possible source areas is discussed and suggestions made as to the origins of present distribution patterns. These include tectonic fragmentation, dispersal from New Guinea and dispersal from Hawaii or Micronesia. [New species described are Copostigma, gracilisuras, C. ouvea, C. gressitti, Ptycta lugosensis, P. incerta, P. novohibernica, P. breuschi, P. distincta, P. isabelae, and Clematostigma dimorpha.].
